Gabriel Nieto
Director of Complete Union, therapist, teacher and researcher of Taoist practices, Chinese medicine, clinical qigong and manual therapy. For more than twenty years he has studied the relationship between body, perception, health and consciousness.
His work integrates traditional transmission, clinical experience and dialogue with contemporary physiology and psychology — in teaching and in therapeutic, hospital and institutional settings. Tradition does not appear as a museum piece nor as a closed system of beliefs, but as a living practice that dialogues with the questions of contemporary life.
Between 2001 and 2014 he studied and received transmission from master Li Fu Kuan. Between 2010 and 2023 he continued his training with master Cai Wen Yu. Both masters appointed him to develop and transmit this work in Europe and South America. Within this genealogy, the reference of master Liu Tang Du and the connection with the Quanzhen — Complete Reality — and Longmen — Dragon Gate — traditions are also acknowledged.
His work includes Taoist qigong, Lao Chi Kung, Night Work, Pa Kua, Yi Chuan, meditation, collective ritual, Taoist sexuality and various forms of manual therapy and Chinese medicine. In the clinical field he works with Taoist Tuina, Chi Nei Tsang, Wai Qi Liao Fa, Zhenggu Fa and somatic practices oriented toward recovering mobility, sensitivity and the capacity for self-regulation — tools that do not replace medical or psychological care when it is needed, but are integrated responsibly into broader processes of care.
He has taught and worked in Argentina, Spain, France and China, in schools, retreats, individual consultations and institutional settings — including the training of health professionals, work with hospital teams and the adaptation of body practices for people with different functional possibilities.
As a teacher, he proposes a school of questions rather than answers: practice does not seek to produce a spiritual identity nor to separate the student from everyday life. It seeks to refine perception, organize the body, expand the capacity for relationship and offer conditions for each person to investigate their own experience with greater freedom and responsibility.
Lineage and training
A thread that joins La Plata with the masters of China
Complete Union is rooted in the tradition of Complete Reality (Quanzhen) and in the Longmen lineage — the Dragon Gate.
Training and transmission with Dr. Li Fu Kuan, professor of herbalism at the Central Hospital of Beijing: Chinese medicine, massage, acupuncture and herbalism, living alongside the master.
Diploma as associate teacher of the Healing Tao, in inner alchemy activities and specialization in Chi Nei Tsang massage.
Training and transmission with the great Master Cai Wen Yu: Lao Chi Kung, Yi Chuan and Pa Kua Chang. He is his only representative in Europe, and together they co-created Night Work.
Stay in Nanyue, China: he takes part in the International Congress on Taoism, where he presents his work on ancient practices and meditation. He is recognized and connected with the Quanzhen school and the Longmen lineage, with reference to master Liu Tang Du, and appointed to develop and transmit this work in Europe and South America.
