Complete Union Taoist School

Paths of practice

We are teachers with many years of experience, and at the same time we keep on learning

We help you begin and sustain the practice, according to the level of learning you are at. These are the areas of the school — some already developed in depth, others growing.

Night Work

«In cultivating your mind you must know how to search in the depths.» — Lao Tze

A very powerful system of practices for self-knowledge and healing that proposes taking life as the true master. It is a weekly hour-long meditation class in which we share several kinds of practices, designed to introduce the practitioner into a natural state of consciousness that produces a particular sensitivity: energy, body and mind are perceived as a unity.

Within this state, which we call the primary nocturnal state, various attitudes are explored that help you know yourself more deeply and produce harmony in different areas of your life — especially in relation to the non-visible parts of the being: the subconscious, instinct and intuition.

First stage: learning to distinguish the different states of consciousness and knowing how to enter the nocturnal trance. In this state it is possible to explore the past and the present, discovering the natural potential each person holds.

Second stage: a process of energy enhancement begins in which creative capacity increases notably, which you learn to use within the practice and to carry into any area of life.

Night Work is a branch co-created by Gabriel Nieto together with his master Cai Wen Yu, the fruit of years of research shared also with master Li Fu Kuan — a path that included, in Nanyue, the encounter with a master who practiced night work. It takes the complete being as a unity, working in depth on its emotional, psychic, physical and spiritual facets. That is why it is not a generic method of general answers: it is a system that draws out the appropriate answers for each person.

Night Work explores what appears when habitual control diminishes: sleep, intimacy, deep perception, the collective body and the relationship between consciousness and nature.

It is a complete system of somatic, perceptual and communal cultivation. Among its practices: nocturnal zhangzhuang, universal breathing, the wheel of time, the sleeping monk, work with elixir, talismans of sounds and movements, the daily anchor exercise, collective rituals and research into sleep, wakefulness and hypnagogic states. One of its axes: human regulation is not only individual — it also occurs through bonding, the presence of others and the experience of community.

Lao Chi Kung

«We make a vessel from a piece of clay: it is the inner space that gives it its usefulness.» — Lao Tze

An ancient art for developing your inner and outer nature, and discovering the wonderful path of balance between body, mind and emotion. Lao Chi Kung is considered the origin of many forms of chikung and other energetic arts of Chinese culture, and it is based on the principles that sustain the philosophical structure of many bodies of Chinese knowledge, focusing on the practitioner's state of consciousness.

We seek to connect with the earth and the surroundings, so that body and energy unify into a harmonious whole. We achieve this through static postures such as zhan zhuang, its characteristic hallmark and the most important.

Lao Chi Kung teaches you to feel the circulation of blood and energy in your own body, bringing a truly superior sensitivity. It does not seek to modify the breath or induce a particular energetic circulation; that is why it is a system that produces no adverse effects at the physical or psychological level.

It is about unifying body, mind and energy with nature — for it is from nature that all knowledge arises.

Feminine Alchemy

A loving gaze toward yourself.

Feminine Alchemy is a meditation system for women coming from Taoist culture, which invites you to create a healthy relationship with your body, pleasure and sexuality. It proposes a conscious exploration of yourself, bringing a loving gaze to the relationship with your body and opening a path of reconciliation and respect.

Renew the bond with your body. From respect, listening and non-violence, unblock the emotional obstacles that predispose you to a negative view of yourself.

Awaken vital and creative energy. Prepare your body with practices that stimulate vitality and balance desire, transforming blockages into potent, creative energy.

Stimulate sensitivity. Connect lovingly with your body and learn to give yourself what you need. Enjoy the fullness of your sensuality at every stage of life.

The practices are mostly individual and meditative exercises that you can do daily. They have almost no contraindications and are suitable for women of any age and stage.

Retreats

«Earth follows the laws of heaven, heaven follows the laws of the Tao, the Tao studies its laws in nature.» — Lao Tze

An opportunity to experience a life immersed in Taoist practice and philosophy, and to learn to integrate these approaches into your day to day. The retreats bring together Lao Chi Kung, meditation, Night Work and Taoist alchemy, along with the reading of classical texts, walks and practices in nature.

Living together is part of the teaching: as part of the collective work we organize the preparation of meals together, fostering the cohesion of the group. Each retreat is an immersive experience to nourish yourself in the essence of the Tao.

We hold regular retreats in Argentina and in Europe (Spain and Portugal), guided by Gabriel Nieto and Ana Clara Gossweiler.

Fifth stream

Taoist sexuality

Sexuality is a real part of Taoist teaching — we do not hide it, nor do we turn it into a marketing hook. We present it as a field of investigation into presence, sensitivity, intimacy, regulation, breathing, pleasure and bonding: a meditative, relational and potentially reparative space, always within consent, respect and care.

It includes shared meditation, the bedchamber arts, feminine and masculine alchemy, bodily listening and the therapeutic possibilities of sexual and affective experience. Neither commercial pornography nor repressive asceticism: a path of cultivation.

Pa Kua and Yi Chuan

Pa Kua is the practice of circular movement: bodily transformation, adaptation and spatial perception in constant motion.

Yi Chuan works on posture, intention, integrated strength, sensitivity and the overall organization of the body — the art from which the zhan zhuang that runs through the whole school comes.

We do not present them only as martial systems: they are also forms of bodily and perceptual investigation, transmitted by Master Cai Wen Yu.
